During February 2009, Sony Ericsson announced three new phones – the W995 Walkman™, C901 and C903 Cyber-shot™ phones. With the announcement of the new stylish Sony Ericsson T707 clamshell phone on March 26, 2009, this takes the number of phones series supporting the Project Capuchin API to ten, increasing the addressable market for Project Capuchin applications. In addition, Sony Ericsson Developer World also released a new Project Capuchin tutorial for both Flash® Lite™ and Java™ ME developers.
During Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain in February, representatives from NN4D gave 15-minute presentations and live demos of a couple of LBS-enabled applications every day in Adobe’s booth talking about the new opportunity for LBS application development that Flash developers now have by using Project Capuchin to access Java ME APIs for location and mapping.
