
NAVTEQ will have an active presence at the 2009 CommunicAsia Exhibition and Conference being held at the Singapore Exposition Center June 16-19, 2009.
- Exhibit (Stand No. 3L2-07): NAVTEQ will be demonstrating its extensive map coverage of the Asia-Pacific region which includes pedestrian navigation, extensive POIs and enhanced visual 3D content. The NN4D team will be on hand to provide developers with information on how to use NN4D tools such as mapping APIs, sample map data and location content to build innovative LBS solutions.
- Global LBS Challenge Awards Ceremony: NAVTEQ will announce the APAC region winners at a ceremony in the NAVTEQ booth on June 17, 2009 at 3:30pm. All semifinalist companies will be demonstrating their applications at dedicated kiosks throughout the duration of the show. Attendees can also cast their vote for the “People’s Choice Award” and be entered into a raffle to win a phone.
- NAVTEQ Presents “The Future of Mobile Application Adoption”: Marc Naddell, Vice President of Partner & Developer Programs will present on 4 key areas of mobile services: Next Generation, Strategies for Commercial Adoption, Business Models, and New Applications and Services. The presentation will highlight location mobile services including current and future business models. The presentation will conclude with examples showing LBS as the differentiator in new mobile applications.

Attendees at this year’s CommunicAsia in Singapore will have the opportunity to cast their own vote for their favorite LBS Challenge application. Throughout the four days of CommunicAsia (June 16-19), attendees can vote and be entered to win one of three phones from one of our Global Sponsors: Nokia E71, Samsung INNOV8, or Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot™.
Votes will be collected until 3:00pm on Friday, June 19 and the People’s Choice winner and the raffle winners, will be announced shortly thereafter.
The raffle is open to all CommunicAsia attendees.
