Path to Market: The Path of Least Resistance – Interview on JavaOne BlogTalkRadio

Laura Diaz, Partner Relations Manager for NAVTEQ Network for Developers (NN4D), and Steve Haney, VP Americas for Mobile Distillery, are here interviewed by BlogtalkRadio at this week's JavaOne Conference in San Francisco, California. During the interview they discuss the options for accelerating rather than grid-locking the path to commercialization. Porting is one of the biggest challenges for developers on their road to commercialization. Hear how the Mobile Distillery platform is designed to address fragmentation issues and simplify typical worries in LBS development.

Laura supports NAVTEQ’s partner and developer program initiatives through direct interaction with location developers, value chain partners, developer communities, customers and companies contributing to mobile location application innovation. Her focus is to coordinate engagements between developer companies with innovative solutions and partners representing key technology providers, original equipment manufacturers and distribution channels.

Steve Haney, VP Americas at Mobile Distillery, is a Silicon Valley veteran in the mobile apps and content industry. His career has spanned large, high profile technology companies, such as Apple Computer, as well as having started (and sold) his own venture-backed companies in the high tech sector.

Mobile Distillery is a Global Awards Sponsor for NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge®, an annual developer competition conducted by NN4D. The LBS Challenge Awards sponsorship is part of a larger co-marketing agreement between NN4D and Mobile Distillery, geared towards accelerating development and time to market for LBS applications and developers' ability to effectively address a mass-market audience.
