Spotlight on NN4D.com - Industry & Market Information section

As, you know, there is a ton of information on NN4D.com. One of the sections on NN4D.com you might not have visited lately is the “Industry & Market Information” section. Even if you are familiar with it, you should check it out as we have some pretty interesting and newly published stuff to read there. This section is also a good place to start if you are looking to educate yourself about the various topics to be found kicking around the mobile developer sphere. Not only that, but this is also in this section that you will find some of our newest content, including contributions from the Open GeoSpatial Consortium and the NN4D team.

OGC on Java – GeoAPI does much of the work. (*NEW!)
GeoAPI is open source software developed by the GeoAPI project. The GeoAPI interfaces provide a layer that separates client code, which calls the API, from library code, which implements the API. Martin Desruisseaux, chair of the OGC’s GeoAPI Standards Working Group, explains that, “GeoAPI gives geospatial applications the same benefit that Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) interfaces provide to database applications.
