NAVTEQ Product Spotlight: Dynamic POI Content.

NAVTEQ has a ton of products that you can browse through and read about on NN4D.com. One of the more interesting and relevant products for mobile developers is Dynamic POI Content. Dynamic POI Content is basically Points of Interest data that is constantly changing and updating. Currently NAVTEQ has 4 products available that fall into this category and they each have their own API. The data is in XML format and is delivered via a REST web services API. NAVTEQ also provides the XML data via FTP if that is your thing, but the choice is yours.

What Dynamic POI Content do we have available?

• Movie and Event Listings 
  Offers updated information on movie times, sporting events, concerts and more.
• Fuel Prices
  Provides continuously updated fuel prices. Now, consumers can search for the lowest price near them at any point in their travels and navigate to the chosen station.
• Air Travel Status
  Offers travelers an array of critical details, ranging from airport weather conditions to flight arrival and departure information.
• Parking Preview
  Provides travelers a preview of parking space availability, forms of payment acceptance and more, including pricing by time, updated space availability and opening hours.
